Who We Are
|
The Greater Kansas City Bicycle Federation is a volunteer organization of bicyclists dedicated to improving bicycling conditions in the greater Kansas City region. Our members live throughout Kansas City and bicycle routinely for transportation, utilitarian and recreational reasons. All are devoted to our communities and believe bicycling can improve the quality of life, our health, the environment and the communities we live and work in.
The Greater Kansas City Bicycle Federation is a member of the Thunderhead Alliance, an international organization composed of over 105 local and statewide bicycle advocacy organizations throughout the United States and Canada. Thunderhead Alliance provides guidance and recommendations to help bicycle advocacy organizations succeed as they work with individual, area bicycle clubs and local governments to improve bicycle safety, undertake bicycle use education programs and provide the infrastructure needed to accommodate bicycles as an effective component of the transportation system.
